Picatinny or Weaver Rail to Dovetail Adapter

Adapt directly from a standard 12/13 mm wide dovetail to a 20/21 mm wide Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) or Weaver rail. Rail widths are across the widest part of the rail. Note that many people say that Weaver or Picatinny rails are 20 mm wide - if they are precisely made, they are closer to 21 mm. This will work with a Tikka T3 rail.
 
You can use this item on your Crosman 760 Pumpmaster BB air gun (which has a dovetail on the top) to change over to items with a Picatinny/Weaver rail. It will work on any airgun that has the 12/13 mm wide dovetail.
 
This item could also be used in many ways including to perhaps mount items such as an Armasight Spark CORE Night Vision Monocular (seen in the pictures, not included in this sale) directly to the Picatinny or Weaver rail of a shotgun (as shown), rifle or other firearm without having to use multiple expensive adapters (that don't do the job as well).  It will work on any other optic or device that has a Picatinny or Weaver rail wherein you want to mount it to a 13 mm wide dovetail.  Airsoft pellet guns may be another application when they include the right size dovetail. The Armasight Vega and Spark has this dovetail, as does the N-14.
 
This item will work equally well when one of the items has either a Picatinny or Weaver rail as shown in the pictures. The other item must have a dovetail (pic). There are pics that show the mount on just the dovetail and just on the Picatinny/Weaver rail. Note: Picatinny and Weaver rails are almost identical except for the size of the slots that go across the top. This mount will fit either type.
 
This adapter allows devices to be mounted as closely together as possible. This item is made of high strength composite thermoplastic. It is an incredibly stiff and strong mount and is also lightweight. It comes as shown in the first picture with the two halves, washer and the clamp screw. Other items shown in the pictures are not included.
 
The pics show a night vision device mounted to a Mossberg 500 to give an idea of how this mount can be applied. Note that since the night vision has multiple dovetails mounts, it can be turned so that it is very low profile. This mount will work in many other applications as well and simply adapts between any two devices when one has the Picatinny/Weaver rail and the other has the dovetail described above. Note that mounting a NV device to a firearm frequently has strict legal restrictions and can be prohibited depending on your particular area.
 
It is 50mm long (1.97 inches) and 16mm high (0.630 inches). The weight is about 28 grams (1 ounce).  The height of the center of the NV is about 2 inches from the center of the Picatinny/Weaver rail centerline when the NV is mounted such that it is in its tallest position. When it is in the lower position, the same dimension is about 1.3 inches.
