1862 $100 Confederate States of America T-41 PCGS, VF30 PPQ
The full confederate series consists of ~72 notes (About 64 of which are available in the market), but this is one of only three that depict a scene of slavery. On the left is John C. Calhoun, a father of states' rights. This note has an issuance stamp on the back: "ISSUED FROM ASSt. TREAS. OFF. JACKSON, Miss. FEB 7, 1863." This note, paying 7.3% annual interest, is a tangible piece of history that is very well-printed with a Premium Paper Quality (PPQ) endorsement. Fricke variety PF-21, rarity 7 (201 to 500 known).
